Data Engineer
Our Engineering team applies rigorous engineering practices and innovative design to our machine learning–driven platform, with the mission of accelerating the drug development process. This role will be a key contributor to the design and implementation of data pipelines that ingest billions of data points across hundreds of features—from publications, patents, genomics, and many other sources.
As a Data Engineer at Intelligencia, you will architect, build, and launch scalable pipelines that transform fragmented datasets into a harmonized, single source of truth. By applying an engineering mindset to biological and clinical data, you will help power AI-driven insights that make drug development more transparent, explainable, and reliable.
We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, action-oriented, and thrives in solving complex problems with minimal supervision.

- Design and implement efficient and robust data processing pipelines
- Bring algorithms prototyped by data scientists to production
- Design and build performant micro-services and frontend-facing APIs
- Use the latest data and cloud infrastructure (e.g., Airflow, Google Cloud, Kubernetes)
- Work as part of a highly motivated team that believes in the product that they are building
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- At least 3 years of experience in software development and/or data engineering
- Database modeling and query optimization, preferably using PostgreSQL
- Programming in Python 3
- Experience in at least 1 major Python web framework, e.g., FastAPI, Flask
- Experience with task orchestration tools (preferably Airflow)
- Experience with Cloud services (preferably Google Cloud), Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience in software engineering standard approaches for testability, maintainability and scalability
- Familiarity with software development practices, e.g. code reviews, pair-programming
